Seascapes
Blue-hour seas painted for weather and what they carry. Anahita gives the sky as much attention as the water, and the wave crests do the drawing.
The seascapes are painted in oil and occasionally acrylic, always with the sky given as much attention as the water. Some are open scenes of turning wind and moving cloud; others hold the sea as memory, with quiet symbols surfacing in the composition. Every canvas is signed at the lower right.
She keeps the palette to blues and paper whites, letting the wave crests do the drawing. Frames are usually simple wood.
