About this work
All sky. The birds do the drawing, the sky does the singing. That warm coral core with the pale sun sitting inside it is where every wing seems to be heading. Look at how the higher birds are darker and cooler against the blue upper band, and how the lower birds glow almost pink where the light picks them up. The whole picture feels like a held breath.
