About this work

This is one of Anahita’s romantic seascapes: quiet at first glance, dramatic if you stay. Notice the sandbank swept in one long yellow curve from lower left to the boat, doing the same work a road would in a landscape. The sky opens in one hot gold patch, then closes again into weather. The little red sail is the smallest note in the picture and holds everything together.
