Shipping and collection

Shipping and collection

How your original artwork, sculpture or print reaches you, in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Every section below opens to a native disclosure. Collection from the studio is free of charge; insured UK delivery is included in the price of every painting and work on paper.

Collection from the studio in Surrey

You are welcome to collect any original from the studio, by appointment. Collection is free of charge, and it is the calmest way to take a painting or sculpture home. You will meet Anahita, see the work in her light, and hear the story of how it was made.

For originals, collection is the default option offered at checkout.

Collection from the studio is welcome for ceramic wall masks, reliefs, heads and garden pieces. For larger sculpture we hand-deliver by arrangement in the South East; international is by enquiry. Glazed and terracotta ceramic does not travel safely by ordinary courier, which is why we do not post it and why the third option, careful hand-delivery, is offered on the work's page and quoted after the order.

To arrange a collection visit or a hand-delivery, please write to anahitaeastwood@yahoo.co.uk after you order. We will offer a few times that suit you.

United Kingdom delivery for paintings and works on paper

Framed and unframed paintings, and works on paper, can be delivered anywhere in the United Kingdom by an insured art courier. The work is packed with corner protectors, glassine, weatherproof wrapping and a rigid outer case; for larger canvases a plywood face is added.

Insured UK delivery is included in the price of every painting and work on paper. There is nothing to add at checkout: choose delivery or collection and the price you see is the price you pay. Delivery is signed for, and we agree a date with you before dispatch.

International delivery for originals

For a painting or work on paper going outside the United Kingdom, please write to anahitaeastwood@yahoo.co.uk with the work you are interested in and the delivery address. We will quote for an insured art courier and confirm timings.

We do not ship sculptures internationally.

You are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs handling fees due in the destination country.

Prints (worldwide)

Prints of Anahita's paintings are made to order by a specialist fine-art lab in the United Kingdom and shipped worldwide. Unframed prints ship in a rigid tube; framed prints ship in a flat, corner-protected box.

Typical lead time is 5 to 10 working days from order (proofing, printing, drying and dispatch), plus the courier's own transit time.

If your delivery address is outside the United Kingdom, you may be charged import duties, taxes or a customs handling fee by the carrier when your parcel arrives. These charges are set by the destination country, not by us, and are the buyer's responsibility.

Damage in transit, missing parcels, packaging

Our packing is careful, and works travel well. Very occasionally a courier is unkind to a parcel.

If a parcel arrives damaged, please:

  • photograph the outside of the parcel before opening,
  • photograph the packaging after opening,
  • photograph the work,
  • email the pictures to anahitaeastwood@yahoo.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery, with your order number.

We will raise a claim with the courier straight away and arrange a repair, a replacement print (where possible), or a full refund. Please keep the packaging until we have agreed the next step, because the courier may ask to inspect it.

For prints, please keep the tube or box the print arrived in for at least 14 days in case a return is needed.

If a parcel is marked delivered but has not reached you, please email us within 48 hours so we can open an investigation with the courier.
