Licensing
Image licensing
Every image on this site is copyright Anahita Eastwood. Personal and editorial use with credit is welcome. Other uses are on request through the studio.
Who owns the images
Every photograph and reproduction of an artwork on this website is the studio's own record of the work. All rights in the images and in the underlying artworks are reserved by the artist, Anahita Eastwood. Buying an original does not transfer the copyright: the physical work becomes yours, and Anahita keeps the right to be identified as the author and to reproduce the image, consistent with the terms of sale.
What you may do without asking
- View the site, save an image for personal reference, and print a page for your own use at home or in a classroom.
- Share a page or an image on a personal social account, in a blog post, or in a lecture, with a visible credit to Anahita Eastwood and a link back to anahitaeastwood.com.
- Quote a short passage of text with a link back to the source page.
Press and editorial
Journalists, curators and interviewers are welcome to use the high-resolution images in the press kit to accompany a review, feature, exhibition notice or interview. Please carry the credit line“Image courtesy of the artist, Anahita Eastwood”alongside the image, and a link back to the page the image was drawn from where the format allows. No fee is charged for editorial use.
What is not permitted without a written licence
- Reproducing an image on a commercial product for resale, including prints, posters, cards, textiles, packaging or merchandise.
- Using an image in advertising, marketing collateral, or as brand imagery for a business that is not the studio.
- Training a machine-learning model on any image without a written licence. The robots.txt and machine manifest name the crawlers that are welcome; other crawlers should assume no.
- Presenting a photograph of a work as if it were the work of another artist, or cropping the signature out of a piece that carries one.
- Selling, sub-licensing or otherwise passing on any image or a derivative of it.
How to write for a licence
For any use that falls outside the personal and editorial permissions above, please write to the studio through the contact form and set out, in a short paragraph, which image or images you would like to use, where the image would appear, for how long, and at what size. Anahita reads press and licensing enquiries personally; the studio replies within two working days.
Credit line
When an image is used with permission, please credit it as follows, either alongside the image or in the standard image credits list at the foot of the piece:

Takedown and corrections
If an image on the site has been posted in error, if a credit line needs a correction, or if you believe your rights have been affected by something the site has published, please write to the studio through the contact page. Corrections and takedown requests are handled promptly and in good faith.
