About this work
The whole frame is one eye. The iris is a pale sulphur yellow, dead centre, and the lashes rise in deep indigo strokes over blue-white skin the colour of moonlight. The surface is rough, almost plaster-like, so the paint sits in ridges. This looks like a detail from a larger figure or face; the parent work needs to be identified and photographed whole before this can be catalogued.
