About this work
A blue fish looks up out of the paper on the right, mouth open, one red-rimmed eye fixed on the figure across from it. That figure is made of rippling coloured lines, hair rising in red, orange, yellow, green and blue like a wave breaking upwards. She is part woman, part current, and the fish seems to be listening. Notice the softness of the wash where the tail dissolves back into water and the sureness of the single dark line under the fish’s jaw.
