About this work
The largest of the Pierrots hangs above the sofa in the living room, a wide format that reads as a long pause between two acts. The clown lies at full length, one elbow propped on a raised leg, one hand lifted with a small white mask on a stick, black pom-poms down the front of the costume and at each heel. The palette is Anahita’s teal, brushed loosely so the ground itself feels moved by breath. She has signed it in her round hand at the lower right.
