About this work

This one leans into pleasure. The hair is drawn in long sweeping ribbons, gold and cream over each other, so the whole picture feels caught in a breath of air. Notice the single bright blue eye against warm gold skin, and the deliberately hot pink of the mouth: the picture is built on that one warm-cool disagreement. She is somewhere between laughing and singing.
