About this work

A striking modern portrait, all held in warm greys, ivory and one clear note of cobalt. Notice how the hair sweeps out of the frame in long ribbons of black, blue and cream, and how the single blue hoop earring answers the blue in the eyeshadow and the lips. It is Anahita in a bolder, more graphic mood, keeping the palette almost silver so the drawing carries the whole picture.
