About this work
A travel watercolour with the warmth of a page from a sketchbook. Look for the small named details she gives you: the place written in her own hand at the lower left, and her name lettered on the side of the little boat moored on the right. The composition rests on the three figures at the front, close enough to catch, while the bay opens quietly behind them into pale water, moored boats and a hill town.
