About this work

This crop drops you into the middle of the tangle. The roots reach in from the left, the canopy leans in from the right, and everything is held in one cool green key. In the calm at the base a butterfly has settled on the pale ground, small and precise against all that pattern. Notice how the fine linework carries the eye through leaf, root and frond without ever quite letting it rest.
