About this work

The eye travels the way Anahita wants it to: up from the red spikes of the hot pokers in the foreground, across the pale ribbon of water, over the bank and up the winding track to the little red tractor working its way home. The sky is a soft wash of pink and lilac; the trees are put in with a single loaded brush. Notice how the reds answer each other, from the flowers to the tractor, holding the picture together across all that green.
