About this work

Anahita paints roads the way other people paint horizons, as an invitation. Here the road bends between the bay and the shrubs, and by following it your eye reaches the little white house and the mountains beyond. Notice the ochre and coral in the rocks; she never lets a stone be only grey. The sky moves from warm gold at the water line to a green blue overhead, a colour she uses often in her Mediterranean pieces.
