About this work
This one begins in the middle, with a small sun that seems to be breathing. Anahita builds a weather around it: warm red on one side, deep sea green on the other, everything leaning towards the light. Look at the base of the painting, where thin silver lines run like a stream out of the canvas. It is one of her weather pieces, quiet and slow, the sort of thing that changes each time you sit with it.
