About this work
A birch avenue seen the way we remember them, silver bark rising into mist and a warm floor of fallen leaves pulling you in. Anahita has kept the middle distance almost empty so the picture breathes; the trunks on the outside get more detail, the ones in the centre almost dissolve. The red ground at your feet is the whole reason the greys work.
