About this work
A little flock of magpies caught mid-flight, made as ceramic wall pieces to hang together or apart. Notice the deep cobalt of the head and shoulder, the fanned tail with its band of white, and the sheen of green oxide over the wing where the light catches it. Each bird takes a different pose, so hung as a trio they read as one long sweep of movement across a wall.
