About this work
One of Anahita’s ceramic heads, dressed for an exhibition rather than photographed in the studio. Notice the stillness of the face, eyes closed, the branches of blossom rising from the crown like a spring garland. The teal collar and the leaves feel staged for the show, so a fresh studio photograph of the head on its own would let the ceramic itself carry the story.
