Night skies
Deep cobalt, a paler cloud, a moon that carries the light. Anahita paints the night the way a quiet person listens: with attention rather than drama.
Night skies gather at the edges of Anahita’s practice, close to the seascapes and the still lifes. The palette holds to deep cobalt with paler streaks of cloud, and the light on the ground is always secondary to the light in the sky. What lives under the moon, a branch, a bird, a low horizon, is left simple so the sky can do the work.
Oil on canvas or oil on board, always signed. Sizes are recorded from each canvas as it is measured off the wall.
