Murals and painted panels
Paintings made straight onto wood: a lotus on pine cladding, a cockerel on a shed wall. The grain shows through the colour and becomes part of the design.
Some of Anahita’s work never went near a canvas. When a garden panel or a shed wall was there and the colours were mixed, she painted on that. These pieces live outdoors or in garden rooms, and the wood grain, knots and board joins are part of them.
They are photographed where they are and are mostly not for sale as objects, but they show the reach of her decorative sense, and similar panels can be commissioned for a garden or a room.
