About this work

This one lives on the side of a garden shed. Anahita has drawn a cockerel straight on to the pale pine planks, giving it a red crown, a warm orange and yellow body and a splendid fanned tail of turquoise, lilac and white feathers. Two little tufts of grass root him to the timber. It is a piece made in the spirit of a good garden: bright, generous and welcoming.
