Abstracts
Looser paintings, closer to imagination than observation. Fantasy figures, colour fields, night gardens where the figures might be creatures or dreams.
The abstracts are where Anahita lets the brush lead. A gold-ground panel of fantasy figures in purples and greens sits alongside more geometric works to come. She still draws before she paints, but the drawing is loose, and the finished piece keeps something of the first mark.
Acrylic on canvas mostly, occasionally mixed media. New abstract catalogue entries will appear here as they are photographed.
